I start with an idea, but as I work, another dream takes precedence. We live on the perfect continuum. Ideas are always changing. Thoughts are transforming; it is the natural process of creation—a new thought battling for its birth into existence. There is always this inner fight between the idea I have dreamed of and the new thought; the seduction of a new experience always runs the show. (Excerpt from Notebooks, Continuum, 2019 — A. F.)
