I stand naked when I paint. The painting is less important than the life that one is leading…yet I cannot have a life without it. I carried many invisible scars on my body…but art is a healing process…for the artist for the viewer.
The whole point of being a human, I think, is to learn about yourself, to disembody and bring yourself from time to time to that state barely perceptible by a sense or by the mind.
I use masking tape when I paint and I collect every bit of it. Every used piece of tape seems to me still alive like the human skin is and holding the energy of every colour.
Random fragments of memory of every canvas I painted, witnesses of my emotions beyond the time.
